Intraoral Massage
Unlock Relief for Jaw & Facial Tension with Intraoral Massage Therapy
Experiencing jaw pain, headaches, or teeth grinding? Intraoral Massage Therapy is a specialized technique designed to release deep tension in the muscles of your jaw and face, both inside and outside your mouth.
Using gloved hands, we will directly access muscles that are often difficult to reach externally. This helps to:
Release deep muscle tension
Improve jaw mobility
Reduce pain from conditions like TMJ dysfunction and headaches
Alleviate symptoms of teeth grinding (bruxism)
Many clients experience significant relief, with each session tailored to your specific needs for maximum comfort and effectiveness. If you're seeking a unique and powerful way to find relief from jaw and facial discomfort, Intraoral Massage Therapy might be your answer.

Intraoral massage is performed with the client lying face up in a cozy massage bed. Client may choose to wear a thin strap sports bra/tank top or remove top so that we can work on the neck, shoulders, and chest. Gloves are worn when working inside the mouth, and I will be wearing a mask during the session.
First, we will address the shoulders, upper back and chest. Then, I will apply gentle pressure to the muscles of the mouth and face, which can feel intense. The goal is not to cause more pain, so if increased pain occurs, please let me know. We will end with a relaxing massage which may incorporate lymphatic drainage.
Prior to the session, we will establish communication using hand signs to express any pain/discomfort, or a need to pause/stop the treatment.
In most cases, majority of the treatment is working outside of the mouth with less than 10-15% of the session treating the muscles in the mouth.
It is possible that the area will be sore after the massage and the jaw may feel like it is aligned differently.

That’s okay! We will work with the areas outside of the mouth for any tensions that may be causing your TMJ discomfort and headaches. When we get to the mouth portion of the session, I will provide you with gloves and instruct you on how to treat the muscles with you by demoing it on me. If you would wish to completely opt out of the mouth portion of it, you are free to do so. This is your session and your needs. Let’s have an open communication.
